On Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Philadelphia Eagles would gladly accept an invitation to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl 59 win and even went as far as to say that they were “looking forward to the invitation” from President Donald Trump.
Well on Tuesday, President Trump confirmed that the Eagles will be getting invited while meeting with reporters.
“W’re going to do it sometime today. They deserve to be down here,” Trump said.
The Eagles defeated the Chiefs, 40-22, in Super Bowl 59 earlier this month and while it was reported earlier this week that the Eagles were reluctant to accept an invitation, ESPN’s Adam Schefter shot that down and now it seems like the Eagles will be headed to the White House sometime in the near future.
