People were left rubbing their eyes after seeing a braided hairstyle a woman tried out – but when it ended up looking a lot more X-rated than she intended – and many couldn’t stop laughing
Trying out new hairstyles can be really fun, but when one woman’s braided style looked really rude, she was left with regrets.
When things go viral on social media, it can be all too tempting to try it out for yourself – and the past few years have seen so many different trends. From the ‘Kylie Jenner lip challenge’, to low-rise jeans there’s one thing all these trends have in common – they’re just a phase. And this woman was left breathing a sigh of relief when she could easily change her hairstyle, as people were quick to point out that it looked a little bit X-rated.
Photos of the braids have gone viral on social media after X, formerly Twitter, users pointed out what they saw when they looked at them. And what they saw, was a phallic object.
Several people tweeted to say they had mistaken the hair pictures for a man’s genitals or sex toy – which is definitely not the intended vibe the woman was going for. Style blogger Stephanie Yeboah shared the images, captioning her post: “I must be tired because I thought this was the throbbiest of penises”, and over 2,000 people liked her tweet in agreement.
One person replied: “It wasn’t until I read your tweet that I realised it wasn’t.” Another said: “I thought you’d just posted a giant penis too… my eyes were shooketh.” A third confessed: “OMG me too, I had to double take at it.” “Hot damn, I did too. A real weird one”, added someone else.
On X, people also said that they were going to “go to church” after seeing the rude hairstyle, and another said that they were “tired of not having peace anymore.” Thinking about it, we might give this hairstyle a miss.
